What i care about (art)

In art this term we are looking at things we care about to develop our theme.
My theme is-Spirits, meths, ghosts, angles, devils, after life, death.

For the first drawing i have done i have a arch way and it brings out a circle which i will be adding some sort of circle into my art work to make people think about the design and concept of the art work. For the second drawing i have done i have brought more then one circle into the corner of my artwork to make the effect of the angle for effective.

  • Asymmetrical or symmetrical? Asymmetrical

Colour
  • Describe the colours - primary, monochrome, hot, cold, contrasting, realistic?Cool, warm , Calm
  • What colours are dominant? Greens and blues
  • Do the colours create an emotional response?Yes because its given us a night time scene which makes us feel cool and makes us think more about whats going on.

    Paint Application
    • How has the paint been applied? Smooth/rough, thin/thick, gestural/mechanical?Smooth , thin
    • Is there evidence of the layer of media?
    • What techniques are used - glazing, blending, scumbling? Blending, glazing

Tone
  • Describe the tonal values of the work - light, dark, contrasting? It is a mix of light and dark ,Where the sky is darker then where it is between the arch way which having the mixed light and dark makes
  • Is there a full range of tone? There is mainly a lighter colour then dark colours but there is still the light and dark tone textures.
  • Is tone use to guide the viewer to any parts of the painting? The bright white light is more brighter then the rest of the painting because then it shows that the person is moving closer to the light and feeling free and calm.
