This is all my book work i did thought the year, i changed my mind a few times with the layout of my board, i did this because certain concepts wouldn't work and i wanted a even layout of different techniques. I am happy with how my board turned out i had Drawing, chalk, 2 etching, 7 Photos, 2 acrylic paints, 5 spray paint, 1 oil paint, and 1 combination of spray paint /oil paint /and acrylic paint.
I found this last design was the hardest as i had a combination of 3 medias.
These 3 crosses are designs of my cross that is at the bottom of my art board , however i did change the colours up because i needed to blend the colours in so that my roses would be more realistic. These are the drawings i started with and began to paint them to see what they would like first before i started with a fresh piece. My final rose is done in acrylic paint.
This was my final decision on my art board and this is the layout i needed up having, i found having a layout was easier to understand and keep on track with everything you do with your board, (i didn't finish the second half as i only came up with a plan middle of term 3)
This is my ideas page... for awhile i didnt know what i wanted my theme to be so i decided to come up with all these different lists of theme ideas and by the end of a couple of weeks i decided the theme angels, and afterlife (they are highlighted in the green) Having these ideas helped me add a bit of the other ideas in Eg: nature and culture, and a couple more.
With this plan i decided to come up with a couple of different eye effects and different angel effects as well. Having these helped me gather a better understanding of what i wanted my angel to be and what i wanted the eyes to be like as well . In the end i never used any of these eye drawings and i change my angel theme to the circle of life and and the concept coming from me as a little girl and me being the angel.
However having this change didn't stop me from having the angels involved in my artwork however i ended up adding in a few things Eg: a baby, feather, and different settings. Having these helped me determine what i actually could do with my theme. (I STILL STICKED TO HAVING ANGELS IN MY THEME.)
I decided at the start of the year to write a bit on what i believe with angels, this was hard for some people to believe but it helped me have a better understanding of what i believe and what i was able to add to my board. Having Mrs give me advice on my theme and encouraged me to have my thoughts open gave me a positive mindset.
This is another one of my of my theme layouts , (very first one) this shows a bit of what i thought would work with my theme however i did make my theme connected to me more than i wanted (at the start anyway) however i managed to distant that away a bit and thats why i changed my layout around again. And i found having that change managed me to be able to think and use the right painting techniques i wanted.
I decided at the start of the year with my theme decision i wanted to write a bit about the differences between angels, ghosts, devil's, and spirits. Haven done this it gave me a better understanding and i managed to stick to the theme of angels and afterlife.
This was my first example before i changed my mind on my theme, in this photo its a drawing of a bedroom and i tried to have the image of a girl/ Ghost sitting on the bed. however i found it was to hard and i couldn't make it look realistic.
In this photo i decided to have a test with different watercolour techniques and find what colours worked together and what colours i could use in my artwork. However by the end of the year i didn't find watercolour the best median to use because i wasn't able to blend the colours i wanted and it wasnt the technique i felt i could work with.
In this photo it was my practice drawings of the baby that is on my board which is in chalk and the feathers that are done as a etching. for this to work i decided to gather a understanding of 2 different techniques which helped me do two different medias .
I did a few etching of the feather before i decided which one i liked. I made a few mistakes however i learned from each one and developed a new technique that i managed to help and pass that technique onto someone else.
Term 4
3/11/2017
I may happy with my result of my effort in art and happy with the amount of work i manged to do while i was at home and at school. I stuck to my theme and in the process i managed to gather a new technique with oil paint and found that is where my strongest point was with my art work. However i am dissapointed that i didnt do more oil paint as that is where i found i was really good at.

Thank you so much for updating this Paige. I think you are a natural oil painter as well. If you do choose to return in 2018, I would love for you to take this painting method and make more of it, as cool things were really beginning to happen. You have worked really well this year.
